At the Department of Information Technology at SIU Medicine, our team of specialists provides an array of services to support faculty, staff, medical students and residents. We provide timely troubleshooting assistance, ensure our organization is protected by appropriate fail-safes and backup plans and maintain our community’s internet of things (IoT), including all medical devices embedded with software and other technology to connect and exchange data.
We provide education, training and competency opportunities to SIU Medicine employees in order to help create a culture of digital workplace safety and security.
Because our organization frequently deals with sensitive data and private health information, our Information Technology team is well versed in regulatory standards.
