Welcome

The Office of Regional Programs (ORP) is dedicated to improving health and health care for the people living in the  66 central and southern Illinois counties. It covers more than 25,000 square miles and over two million people.  ORP staff members are responsible for building relationships with health care leaders, community leaders, social service agencies, and economic development leaders in addition to developing and implementing programs to fulfill the mission of SIU Medicine.  The 66-county service area is divided into regions that include Central, Eastern, Southern and Western.  ORP staff help SIU Medicine better understand the health care system and the status of health in their respective regions.
