Vistrit Choudhary, MPP

Primary Responsibilities:

My primary responsibilities involve developing policy interventions to improve health outcomes in central and southern Illinois through research and policy analysis. 

About:

I was born and brought up across different states and cities in India. After high school, I joined an undergraduate engineering program at Vellore Institute of Technology, majoring in Biotechnology. After my program, I joined KPMG, a global consulting major, in the city of Bangalore where I started as an analyst in the Research and Benchmarking team. During this time, I assisted clients by developing data driven research deliverables to address key client issues. As a generalist, I have worked extensively on projects across 11 sectors with a special focus on healthcare and life sciences sector. During this time, I have also been responsible for creating weekly trend reports for the Chair of Global Life Science and the life sciences leadership group across EMEA, North American and Asian markets. I have also assisted clients with preparing their businesses for the challenges of Brexit. 

After almost four years in KPMG, I moved to the United States to study Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Here, I was a member of the Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy (GPHAP) in addition to my MPP program. During this time, I worked with Project-ECHO at University of Chicago Medicine and The Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Research Assistant. I graduated from the University Of Chicago Harris School Of Public Policy with a Master’s in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy and Finance Policy in June 2021.

My goal is to use my educational and professional experiences to help design and implement policy interventions which increase access to care in rural areas, through connected care technologies such as telehealth.
