I chose SIU Carbondale because I wanted a place where I can feel at home. Carbondale is the heartbeat of Southern Illinois, surrounded by beautiful lakes and national parks. The program provides leadership opportunities and diverse rotations, including a community medicine rotation at the Jackson County Health Department. Coming from a public health background,  I am very excited for this opportunity. I am honored to be able to learn the art of practicing Family Medicine from the faculty and staff at SIU.
