2018 Jingle Mingle

Every other year, the Civil Service Council hosts the Jingle Mingle, a holiday party packed with creativity, amazing flavors and hand-crafted treats. The SIU School of Medicine tradition began in 2010 with a “challenge” for the employees to decorate a table in the Dean’s Lobby and share their favorite holiday recipes.  It’s grown into one of the most popular events on the school calendar, a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit – and have a happier Hanukkah and Kwanzaa too!  Especially this year, because our theme is “Holidays Around the World.”

The reception will be held in the spacious medical library, on the top floor of 801 N. Rutledge, from noon to 3 pm on Tuesday, December 4.  Everyone is invited.

What makes the Jingle Mingle so special?  Employee participation!

Do you have some fun people in your office who like to plan gatherings and/or bake?  Then put together a team and enter the Jingle Mingle Challenge 2018.

Each group gets a large table to decorate and fill with food and goodies. (Beverages are provided.)  While guests mingle, a trio of judges from the Springfield community will be browsing and sampling the wares, too. They will tabulate votes, select prize winners and declare an overall Jingle Mingle Champion.

Read the Challenge Rules here.

To enter your team, please print and complete the form here.

Throughout the afternoon names will be drawn for door prizes.  No entry paperwork is required.  Winners will be selected randomly using the Jiffy, and you need not be present to win.  If you would like to donate a door prize or white elephant gift, great! Contact isilveri62@siumed.edu.
