    Hobbies
I enjoy traveling to new cities, immersing myself in new cultures, and trying local cuisines. These destinations are not always international. One of my best trips was to a small town in Tennessee.
I enjoy board sports, and recently learned how to snowboard after finally conquering wakeboarding. I am passionate about mental health and well-being, and how it impacts physical health.
I attempt to achieve my balance through yoga, reflective journaling, and some MMA for those especially tough days.
    Why they chose SIU

When considering fellowship programs, I wanted one that ultimately provided me the ability and confidence to practice anywhere. This meant I wanted autonomy, strong mentorship, focus on didactics and procedural skills, opportunities to pursue research, and a good volume of diverse patients. With SIU I got all this and more! Facilities are state of the art, staff are approachable and eager for you to succeed, senior fellows take you on as part of the family from day one, and you work closely with residents and students which allows you to fine tune your own mentoring skills.
