SIU School of Medicine’s Class of 2025, along with medical schools across the nation, will learn the results of the National Residency Match Program, the official cooperative for appointments to graduate medical education programs at 11 a.m. this Friday, March 21.

Graduating SIU medical students, family members, friends and mentors will gather for the event in the Nelson Family Auditorium at the Memorial Learning Center, 228 W. Miller St., Springfield.

Students will open their match results together promptly at 11 a.m. to learn where they will pursue their residencies. In July, the new physicians will begin their advanced educational training in specific areas of medicine or pursue other professional options.

The Match Day festivities will be livestreamed to the South Auditorium at 801 N. Rutledge beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday. SIU students, faculty and staff can also view it on YouTube.
