I chose the SIU Decatur Family Medicine Residency because I was looking for a strong program where I would have the opportunity to learn a wide range of medicine. I was looking for a place with faculty support to become the best version of myself, and I truly believe I found the perfect place for me. No traffic is incredible. Coming from a bigger city, moving somewhere more rural is an amazing change of pace. It’s exactly what I was looking for. People here are kind and make you feel welcome everywhere you go.
