    About me

I have been a medical educator since 2000, getting my start as a Continuing Medical Education specialist at Carle Foundation Hospital. I became the Graduate Medical Education manager at Carle and ran the Physician Leadership Clinic, which formed the basis for my doctoral dissertation. Upon completing my Ph.D. in Education Policy Studies, I became a faculty member in Medical Education at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, I worked here for 8 years, then moved to New York City to help seek accreditation for a new medical school, City University of New York School of Medicine. I worked there for 8 years before returning to my roots in Illinois, where I am now excited to work as a Professor of Surgical Education Research and Development.
