Primary Responsibilities

My primary responsibility for the Department of Population Science and Policy is to assist in policy analysis and research aimed at improving health outcomes in central and southern Illinois.

About

I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy, with a focus on Health Policy and Data Analytics. I seek to use data to effect better healthcare decisions in governments and in communities. I come from a background in policy research, science writing, and public relations.

Prior to graduate school, I worked as a science writer and PR specialist for CG life, a Chicago-based marketing agency that caters to biotech and healthcare companies. Before CG Life, I worked as an undergraduate Research Assistant which culminated in a 2016 article on voter registration that was published in Public Administration Review. I also spent a summer at Atlantic Community, a Germany-based foreign policy think tank.

I graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Political Science and German (2015), and I hail from Madison, Wisconsin.
