Travel to Springfield, IL

The Abraham Lincoln Capital airport in Springfield, IL has daily flights connecting through Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX.  There are also airports in Bloomington, IL and Peoria, IL that may offer more flight options and each are about an hour drive from  Springfield.

The Springfield, IL Amtrak station is on the Illinois and Missouri Route, which provides easy travel from Union Station in Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO and Little Rock AR. Connecting through Union Station in Chicago or from St. Louis is an option. Amtrak station is downtown close to hotels.

Lodging for MARC 2019

We have reserved a block of dorm rooms at the University of Illinois at Springfield located 7.2 miles (about 17 minutes) from the MARC 2019 venue.  Single occupant dorm rooms with semiprivate bathrooms can be reserved online during the conference registration process. Rates are $30 per person for the first night and $20 per person for each additional night.  Linens can be provided at $13 per person and parking is $10 per vehicle (both must be purchased at the time of room and conference registration).

There are several hotels within 1-3 miles of the MARC 2019 venue that have reasonable rates (~$120 per night).  We have set aside a limited number of rooms for MARC attendees at the following downtown Springfield IL hotels:

President Abraham Lincoln Doubletree/Hilton:  $115/night.  Visit the Doubletree/Hilton's home page and enter the conference dates July 10-13, then click on the rate code link and enter MAR. The $115 rate will come up and you can complete your reservation. The hotel phone number is 217-544-8800.

Wyndham Springfield City Centre: with parking $110/night, or without parking: $100/night (217-789-1530);

State House Inn - a Red Collection Hotel: $89/per night with parking (217-528-5100).
