    About me

    Andre Catalano, PharmD, MBA serves as an Assistant Research Professor at the Neuroscience Institute of Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine. Dr. Catalano obtained his Doctorate of Pharmacy and a Master's in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's respective Schools of Pharmacy and Business. He furthered his expertise with a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship at the SIU School of Medicine's Center for Clinical Research. He is also certified in residency teaching, an accolade he acquired from the SIU School of Pharmacy.

    Within the Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Catalano is instrumental in supervising and managing clinical trials. He takes the lead in faculty research within clinical neurology and neurosurgery. His commitment to education is evident in his direction of the neurology resident research and quality improvement programs. Beyond this, he lends his expertise to the SIU Pharmacology Program, instructing students in research methodology. He also plays an active role at the SIUE School of Pharmacy, facilitating skill assessments and various workshops.

    Outside the realm of academia and research, Dr. Catalano is passionate about a range of hobbies. He has a keen eye for photography, a love for traveling, and a green thumb for gardening. His adventures often lead him on hiking trails, and in his downtime, he enjoys the craft of woodworking.
