The mission of the SIU School of Medicine Purchasing Office is to provide efficient customer service to our internal departments as well as our vendors for the purchase of goods and services. The Purchasing Office coordinates purchases for not only for the SOM, but also for SIU Physicians & Surgeons, Inc. in addition to the Foundation and Grant Office. Purchases are made in accordance to the Illinois Procurement Code and the State Finance Act (as applicable), the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University policies, and SIU SOM policies and procedures.
