Sowmy has been selected as an Academy Scholar by the SIU School of Medicine Award Selection Committee for "Excellence and Reflection in the Areas of Teaching and Student Learning and Commitment to the SIU School of Medicine Mission." He will be honored as an Academy Scholar at the 14th Annuak Teaching and Learning Symposium on Thursday April 11, 2024. The live award cereniby will occyr at the South Auditorium in the 801 N. Rutledge Building.
