What's different?
This style forgoes the formal sit-down dinner and embraces more of a celebration feel. Reconnect with classmates and meet fellow alums outside of the 7 or 8 classes you are used to connecting with every 5 years. We have invited back ALL alumni, including our newest alums, the Class of 2023!

Our goal is to make reunion a family-friendly day of reminiscing, reconnecting, and making new memories!
FRIDAY, JUNE 21
This will be up to your class to plan if you would like to do something on a smaller, more intimate level
(not SIU sponsored, but we’ll gladly help you brainstorm some ideas during your planning process)

Some ideas you could consider for your class:
- Have lunch or dinner at a Springfield restaurant
- Enjoy a Springfield Lucky Horseshoes baseball game
- Rent a boat and enjoy an afternoon on Lake Springfield
- Take a walk through Lincoln Memorial Gardens
- A local alum hosts a gathering at their home

SATURDAY, JUNE 22 | 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Parking for the Memorial Learning Center is free in the attached lot, as well as in in the garage across the street. No ticket or validation is needed.
Alumni Stories Pancake Breakfast
8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Enjoy unlimited pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee while you listen to alums share their stories and memories. Sharing will be spontaneous with a microphone being passed.
Medical Student Panel
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Current medical students from years 1-4 will discuss trends in education, the evolution of experiential learning, life on campus, and more. Moderated by Dr. Haneme Idrizi (Class of 2003) Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions.
Memory Lane Campus Tour
10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Walk through various points of interest on the SIU SOM campus. Led by Dr. Christopher McDowell (Class of 2005), Executive Associate Dean of SIU SOM.

Will your classmates gather for lunch?
Want to have a picnic at a park?
It is your choice!
Hang out with your classmates until it's time to celebrate at the Orr Building!
We want your photos!
Dig deep to find your med school photos &
send us pics of what you’ve been doing since graduation!
Send us any and all photos (current or past) to be shared in your Decades District.
We will not be creating a Memory Book for you to look at this year, rather you will be stepping INTO a Memory Book!
We will still provide you with a flash drive of all photos from your classmates, if desired.

The Orr Building is less than 10 minutes from the Wyndham Hotel Directions here
Enter through Gate 9 for the easiest access to the Orr Building. Parking will be ample and free on the east side of the building.
Enjoy the afternoon and evening celebration with your children, then take advantage of our childcare so you can enjoy the night with your classmates!
