Alton Memorial Hospital (AMH) is part of the Barnes-Jewish-Christian (BJC) group. Since 1937, AMH has served the Alton and surrounding areas and sponsors the SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program. AMH serves as the primary site for hospital rotations during residency.

Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) is a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with practice locations across southern & central Illinois. The SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency clinical practice is part of SIHF’s Alton practice site & is located in Medical Office Building B.

SIU Medicine and SIU Alton Family Medicine Residency Program work closely with Madison County Health Department for community initiatives.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered to provide mobile testing to underserved communities throughout the service area.
