Since 1987, SIU Medicine has hosted this showcase for the county's finest student artists. Art teachers for grades K-12 can submit up to four artworks from their respective schools. Judges then narrow the selections further for the exhibit. The artworks are on display in the school's medical library on the 4th floor of 801 N. Rutledge St. in Springfield, Monday through Friday during regular business hours. On Friday, May 5, there will be an artists' reception in the library, followed by an award ceremony in the South and West Auditoriums.
