Join JDRF Illinois for a free in-person, educational summit, that brings together the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community. Learn about research advances, participate in discussions with experts, and meet others living with T1D. This free event is hosted by SIU Pediatrics and will be located at St. John's Hospital-Bunn Auditorium, 800 E. Carpenter St., Springfield, IL 62769. Masks are required upon arrival. Farm health helpline & service now available statewide

Farming is a challenging and sometimes dangerous business. Weather, machinery, logistics and livestock can cause difficulties within a day’s work. Yet these can pale next to the concerns and stress that a farmer carries inside. Farmers are among the most likely to die by suicide, compared with other occupations, according to a 2022 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
