There are a million people with Parkinson’s in the U.S. and Illinois is second in prevalence. I am one of these people. The painting "Parkinson's" (left) was done 6 years after my diagnosis and reflects the anatomic and emotional aspects of the disease. The brain, neurons and circuitry are indicated and the colors reflect inflammation, emotions and frustration. The Correctional Medicine IDOC COVID-19 Help Line will be operational 24-hours a day during the pandemic The Office of Correctional Medicine, in partnership with the Department of Internal Medicine, recently established a dedicated COVID-19 hotline for the Illinois Department of Corrections to assist with managing the health and well-being of its workforce during this difficult time.
