Hodgson, MD, chair of the division of vascular surgery at Southern Illinois University Medicine in Springfield, was elected president-elect of the Society for Vascular Surgery for 2018-19 at the organization’s Vascular Annual Meeting in June. He will be slated for president next year. “I am looking forward to a busy year as the Society continues to expand its scope and mission,” Hodgson said. “The world of medicine is changing and we must absolutely grow and change to meet new challenges. I am committed to assuring that our members lead the way through the changes ahead.” Hodgson
