Pediatric hospitalist Haneme Idrizi, MD, associate professor of pediatrics at SIU Medicine, was awarded the Ray E. Helfer Award, which recognizes creative, scholarly work in pediatric education. Senior medical students in the graduating Class of 2019 at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine received results from the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) on Friday, March 15, at the same time other U.S. medical students learned their matches to postgraduate training programs.
