March 1 Study Break: It's a circus!

The Medical Library hosted a circus themed study break for students on March 2. In addition to guzzling coffee, students enjoyed hotdogs, peanuts, cupcakes decorated like popcorn, and other circus-themed snacks. A meeage on a dry-erase board asked students and staff what job they would most enjoy if they worked in a circus: the most common answer was trapeze artist.

Participating Departments

Internal Medicine Residents train in ambulatory primary care at general medicine and Prairie Cardiovascular clinics under internal medicine faculty supervision. Pathology At Springfield Memorial Hospital, residents examine specimens and participate in weekly departmental conferences. Pediatrics, Division of Genetics Residents learn to manage patients with genetic risks and complications. As a level III obstetrical and pediatric referral center, SIU provides a wide variety of cases for practical teaching. The Flow Cytometry Facility occupies approximately 300 square feet and is a fully equipped high speed cell sorting and cell analyzing research laboratory.
