The availability of point-of-care ultrasound has grown across all areas of medicine. Its use has been shown to improve efficiency and quality of care when integrated into daily practice. SIU School of Medicine is offering a full day workshop aimed to provide practicing physicians and healthcare providers instruction on bedside ultrasound and how to integrate it into their practice. This includes didactics on sonographic principles and instrumentation, exposure to common applications of bedside ultrasound in the ED and hospital, and an introduction to ultrasound guided procedures.
