CITI FCOI Training

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (Springfield) relies on the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program (CITI) to fulfill Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Training required for all personnel involved in federally funded research. Successful completion of Financial Conflict of Interest training is required before research personnel can engage in research activities. Submission Policy

All applications for external funding, letters of intent including budget information, and subcontracts/consortiums submitted from SIU School of Medicine must be reviewed and approved before submission through the ADR Office. To allow sufficient time for application review and approval, the following due dates must be adhered: Please send an initial notification of intent to apply for any mechanism and the funding agency guidelines as far in advance as possible, at the very least, 2 weeks prior to submission deadline. The Department of Pediatrics at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine has obtained a Level 3 status as the first pediatric-specific, multi-specialty clinic to be recognized as a Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) in the state of Illinois. The recognition, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance , signifies that the Springfield practice has met quality standards and excels at care delivery and coordination. The Patient-Centered Specialty Practice is a model of care that puts pediatric patients at the forefront of care and helps build better relationships

Paul Bloom, PhD

Paul Bloom is Vice President, Process and Chemical Research, at Archer Daniels Midland Company. In that role, he leads research efforts in process development and chemical research to help ADM develop technologies that will improve the company’s cost position and drive new product opportunities. He also works with ADM’s commercial and production teams to move technologies from the laboratory to deployment. Linda Reneé Baker joined the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on March 18, 2003, after stepping down as the secretary of Illinois Department of Human Services, a post she held for three years.
