Payment of IRB Review Fees

Effective date: May 22, 2015 Re: Payment of IRB Review Fee If you are submitting a protocol for IRB review at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and the Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) is not executed at the time of submission, the IRB requires documentation from the Sponsor stating that the Sponsor agrees to pay the IRB review fee regardless of the CTA negotiation outcome. Without this documentation, the protocol cannot be placed on an IRB meeting agenda for review until the CTA is executed. Quality Improvement

Quality improvement (QI) consists of systematic and continuous actions that lead to measurable improvement in health care services and the health status of targeted patient groups. SIU Department of Family and Community Medicine provides site level quality improvement projects, as well as, department level quality improvement projects. FCM is focusing on improving evidence based quality care in a safe environment. Current projects include improving immunization rates in children less than two years of age and implementation of GEMBA boards through our clinical sites. FCM quality department

Family Medicine offers a Sports Medicine Fellowship to train primary care specialists in the unique aspects of sports medicine.
