The Alliance for Women in Medicine and Science (AWIMS) will host the Colors of Health Fashion Show and Community Engagement Awards on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, 420 S. 6th St., Springfield, Ill. This annual event celebrates the vibrant intersection of community engagement and health through fashion. The evening will begin with a reception at 5 p.m., followed by the fashion show at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for $20 and can be purchased online . Proceeds from the event will benefit the Springfield Immigrant Advocacy Network. This grassroots advocacy organization
