Meet the Co-Directors

Dr. Sattovia is a hospitalist and Professor of Clinical Medicine at SIU School of Medicine. Born and raised in central Illinois, she attended Illinois Wesleyan University for her undergraduate degree. She attended medical school at SIU School of Medicine, completed an internal medicine residency with chief resident year at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Springfield. In addition to her cHOP role, she serves as medical director for the SIU Office of Continuing Professional Development. A love of food and desire to positively and deliciously impact learners’ nutritional knowledge, completed the Culinary Medicine Specialist Certification program at Tulane University and serves as the Director of Culinary Medicine at SIU.

Dr. Suh is an Assistant Professor of Medical Education at SIU School of Medicine. He earned a PhD in Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development at the University of Georgia associated with his interests in human and organization development, program evaluation, and inter-organizational collaboration. He holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Organizations and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Before, he worked with World Vision Korea as a corporate strategy manager and worked with LG Electronics as an overseas marketing manager. His passion for organizational excellence and performance prompted him to pursue his graduate degrees.

Coaching for Professional Growth

  • Individual or group coaching to explore challenges related to career development and advancement.

Personal and Professional Goal Setting

  • IDP (Individual Development Plan) template designed to explore personal and professional goals in a structured manner at your own pace.
  • IDP works well as a stand-alone tool or paired with coaching.

Consultations

  • In-person or virtual consultations available to facilitate the process of designing, implementing, and evaluating professional development activities.

Master Educator Course (Coming Soon!)

  • A cohort-based, experiential curriculum to focus on enhancing educational knowledge, skills, performance of SIU faculty
  • Will be open to any faculty member that wants to grow as a medical educator
